Life and the world around us is not always as you thought it would be.
But there is always one thing you can control with a little work: yourself!
Together we can work towards your balanced and fulfilling life.
Perhaps you simply need to get something off your chest in a confidential environment or wish to seek counseling for a persistent problem. I offer a place for you to have a conversation in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment.
I am Kelly Burris, a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern helping women and families find their optimum solutions to life’s difficulties. My formal training is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy. Both methods explore the potential you carry within yourself to make positive, lasting changes in your life by recognizing how some current thoughts and actions may act as obstacles to happiness. Those thoughts and actions that negatively affect wellbeing can be refocused to provide a more healthy and honest life perspective.
I believe each individual or family unit has different needs and we will work together to find the best path to reach your particular goals. This may involve a formal program to follow, a mix of techniques, or even play therapy! Let us explore your strengths and draw from these strengths to effectively work through present challenges, with the intension of moving towards a place of hope and joy.
My experience in treating women and families ranges from emotional and physical trauma to eating disorders, relationships, performance, life changes, anxiety, and depression. If you or a family member is interested in meeting, give me a call at 949.441.0771 or email at email@example.com
